Italian Consulate

September 16, 2009

I took my mother to the Italian Consulate this morning to settle some affairs in Italy.

What we thought would be an uppity, snooty consul (because she was a daughter-in-law of none other than Ted Turner) turned out to be a very warm and affectionate lady, new in her role, and ready and willing to serve.  We had a wonderful little chat.  It didn’t hurt that she graduated from Georgia Tech, either!  And I missed my photo opportunity.  All I got was this one of the placard outside of the building.  I will remember for next time…

Ted Turner’s daughter in law? Cool. Was she Italian?
